Gauhati University has released the official notification for the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (GUBEDCET-2026) for admission into the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme for the session 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have passed BA/BSc/B.Com or MA/MSc/M.Com (or equivalent degree) from a recognized Board/University.
- Minimum Marks: At least 50% marks (or 45% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
Examination Pattern
The examination will be OMR-based, consisting of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) with a duration of 2 hours. Each correct answer carries 4 marks, and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Cut-off Marks: 80 for unreserved candidates and 60 for EWS/SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.

- Fee: Rs. 2000 + Bank Transaction Charges (if any).

Candidates must select any three examination centres from the following list during the online application process:
- Guwahati, Nagaon, Nalbari, Barpeta, Jorhat, Dhubri, Rangia, Morigaon, Goalpara, Tezpur, Mangaldai, Pathsala, Biswanath Chariali, Lakhimpur, Dibrugarh, Bangaigaon, Kokrajhar.
