The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the official notification for Common Recruitment Process (CRP SPL-XVI) for recruitment of Specialist Officers (SO) in participating public sector banks. Eligible candidates can apply online from 01 July 2026 to 21 July 2026.

1. IT Officer (Scale I)
Qualification:
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunications, Electronics & Instrumentation
OR - Postgraduate Degree in relevant disciplines
OR - DOEACC ‘B’ Level Certification.
2. Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I)
Qualification:
4-year Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Fishery Science, Agricultural Engineering, Biotechnology, Food Technology and related fields.
3. Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I)
Qualification:
Postgraduate Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at graduation level, or Postgraduate Degree in Sanskrit with Hindi and English as subjects at graduation level.
4. Law Officer (Scale I)
Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council.
5. HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I)
Qualification:
Graduate with a two-year full-time PG Degree/Diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, HR, HRD, Social Work or Labour Law.
6. Marketing Officer (Scale I)
Qualification:
Graduate with MBA (Marketing), MMS (Marketing), PGDM/PGPM/PGDBM/PGDBA with Marketing specialization.
Age Limit (As on 21 July 2026)
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of:
- Online Preliminary Examination
- Online Main Examination
- Interview
- Provisional Allotment
The final merit list will be prepared based on Main Examination and Interview performance. The weightage of Main Examination and Interview is 80:20.

Main Examination Pattern
The Main Examination includes English Language, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude/General Awareness, Professional Knowledge, and Descriptive Paper depending on the post. Merit ranking is primarily based on Professional Knowledge scores.
Negative Marking
There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer in objective tests. No penalty will be applied for unanswered questions.
