Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. Candidates in the final year/semester of graduation may also apply provisionally, provided they produce proof of passing graduation on or before 30 September 2026.
Age Limit (As on 01 April 2026)
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
Candidates must have been born between 02 April 1996 and 01 April 2005 (both dates inclusive). Age relaxation is applicable as per Government rules.

Salary & Benefits
The starting basic pay for SBI Probationary Officers is ₹48,480 with four advance increments. The pay scale is:
₹48,480 – 62,480 – 67,160 – 85,920
Selected candidates will also be eligible for DA, HRA, CCA, NPS, medical facilities, lease rental benefits, and other allowances as per SBI rules. The approximate annual CTC at Mumbai Centre is ₹21.97 lakh.
Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of three phases:
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination

The final merit list will be prepared by combining Main Examination and Phase-III scores. Preliminary Examination marks will not be considered for final selection.
Negative Marking
There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer in the objective examinations. No penalty will be imposed for unanswered questions.

Bond & Service Agreement
Selected candidates must execute a bond of ₹2 lakh to serve SBI for a minimum period of three years. If a candidate resigns before completion of three years, the bond amount will be recoverable by the Bank.
