Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
- Candidates must possess a Graduate Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent as on the closing date of the online application (14.08.2026).
- Note: Candidates who are waiting for the final results of their prescribed educational qualification are NOT eligible to apply.
Age Limit (as of 01.07.2026):
- Standard Age Range: 20 to 33 Years
- Age Relaxations:
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Relaxable by 3 Years (Upper limit 02.07.1990).
- SC/ST: Relaxable by 5 Years (Upper limit 02.07.1988).
- Ex-Servicemen and PwBD candidates are eligible for applicable age relaxations as per government rules.

Selection Process
The recruitment process for the Section Controller post involves the following stages:
- Computer Based Test (CBT): A 120-minute exam consisting of 100 objective-type questions covering Analytical and Mathematical Capability, Logical Capability, and Mental Reasoning. There is a negative marking of 1/3 mark for each wrong answer.
- Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): Candidates shortlisted based on CBT merit (up to 8 times the vacancies) must pass this test. A minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each test battery is mandatory to qualify. There is no negative marking in CBAT.
- Document Verification (DV): Shortlisting will be based on a combined merit of the CBT (70% weightage) and CBAT (30% weightage).
- Medical Examination: Final appointment is subject to passing the strict A-2 medical fitness standard (including vision standards of 6/9, 6/9 without glasses).

- Click on “Create an Account” (Candidates who have already created an account for CENs in 2024, 2025, or 2026 should use their existing credentials to log in).
- It is strongly advised to authenticate your identity using DigiLocker or Aadhaar during the account creation process.
- Fill in the online application form and choose your preferred RRB Zone. Note: Candidates can apply to only one RRB.
- The application module will prompt you to capture a live photograph of yourself using a webcam or mobile front camera (ensure a well-lit, non-white background).
- Upload a scanned copy of your signature in running handwriting using black ink (JPEG format, between 30 KB and 49 KB).
- Pay the required application fee online.
- Submit the application and retain a printed copy of the final confirmation for future reference.
