The Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) has released an educational notice regarding the GNM Entrance Examination 2026. This examination is for admission into GNM courses for the session 2026-27 in both Government and Private Institutes of Assam.
1. Important Dates
- Online Application Starts: April 10, 2026.
- Last Date to Apply: May 30, 2026.
- Admit Card Download: From June 14, 2026.
- Entrance Examination Date: June 28, 2026 (Sunday).
- Exam Timing: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
2. Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
- Residency: Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) is mandatory for admission into Government Institutes.
- Age: Minimum 17 years as of December 31, 2026.
- Education: * 10+2 with English (Science preferable) with at least 40% marks in aggregate and English individually.
- Also eligible: Registered ANM with pass marks or 10+2 with 40% marks in Vocational ANM or Health Care Science streams.
- Relaxation: 5% relaxation in qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates.
- Health: Candidates must be medically fit.
3. Examination Details
The exam will consist of one paper based on the Class 10th standard.

- Format: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (1 mark each).
- Negative Marking: None.
- Language: Questions will be in both English and Assamese, but the OMR sheet must be filled in English only.
- Exam Centers: Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat, Barpeta, Tezpur, Diphu, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Nalbari, Dhubri, and Kokrajhar.
4. Application Fees
- Fees must be paid online through the University website.
- Exemption: PwD (Divyang) candidates with 40% disability or above are exempted from the fee.
5. How to Apply
- Apply online through the official website: www.ssuhs.ac.in.
- Candidates do not need to send hard copies of documents to the University.
- Verification of documents (eligibility, reservation, etc.) will occur during counseling.
- Important: Save your Application Number and Password to download the admit card.
