Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), a premier Government of India Enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy, is inviting applications from dynamic and motivated Indian engineering graduates for the position of Executive Trainee (ET) 2026. Shortlisting will be based on valid GATE 2024, 2025, or 2026 scores.

Eligibility Criteria
- Education: BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering)/5-year Integrated M.Tech with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University/Institute.
- GATE Score: Applicants must possess a valid GATE-2024, GATE-2025, or GATE-2026 score in the same engineering discipline as their qualifying degree.
- Final Year Students: Those appearing for final year exams in 2026 may apply, provided they submit proof of degree completion with 60% marks by November 30, 2026.

Age Limit (as of April 30, 2026)
- General/EWS: 26 Years
- OBC (NCL): 29 Years
- SC/ST: 31 Years
- PwBD (General/EWS): 36 Years
- Note: Additional relaxations apply for Ex-servicemen, DODPKIA, and 1984 riot dependents.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted for a Personal Interview in a 1:12 ratio based on their GATE scores.
- Interview: Final selection is based solely on Personal Interview performance and medical fitness; GATE scores carry no weightage in the final stage.
- Qualifying Marks: 70% for Unreserved and 60% for EWS/SC/ST/OBC/PwBD.
Stipend and Compensation
- During Training: Monthly stipend of ₹74,000 plus a one-time book allowance of ₹30,000. Mandatory lodging and boarding are provided.
- On Appointment: Successful trainees are appointed as Scientific Officer/C (Group ‘A’) in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix.
- Initial Basic Pay: ₹56,100 per month plus Dearness Allowance (58% as of July 1, 2025) and various other allowances (HRA, Transport, Professional Update, etc.).
