Punjab National Bank has released an official advertisement inviting online applications for the recruitment of 30 Specialist Officers in the Junior Management Grade (JMG) Scale I. Eligible candidates can apply for technical roles in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering.

Vacancy Details
The total 30 vacancies are distributed as follows:
- Officer – Civil Engineer (JMG Scale I): 21 Posts
- Officer – Electrical Engineer (JMG Scale I): 7 Posts
- Officer – Mechanical Engineer (JMG Scale I): 2 Posts
Note: Candidates must be willing to serve at any location in India based on the Bank’s requirements.
Eligibility Criteria (As of 01.01.2026)
1. Basic Requirements
- Age: Minimum 20 years and Maximum 30 years.
- Nationality: Must be a Citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan Refugee (pre-1962), or a person of Indian origin from specified countries with intent for permanent settlement .
2. Educational & Experience Requirements
For all three engineering streams (Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical):
- Qualification: B.E./B. Tech in the relevant engineering branch with at least 60% marks from a recognized University.
- Experience: Minimum one year of post-qualification work experience in the relevant field (Construction/Renovation/Maintenance of commercial or residential buildings).
Selection Procedure
Selection will be conducted through one of two scenarios depending on the number of applications:
- Online Written Test followed by Personal Interview: * Part I: Reasoning (25), English (25), and Quantitative Aptitude (50). Total 100 marks.
- Part II: Professional Knowledge (50 questions, 100 marks).
- Penalty: 1/4th mark deduction for wrong answers.
- Shortlisting followed by Interview: Based on successful applications and eligibility documents .
Application Fee (Non-Refundable)
- SC/ST/PwBD: Rs. 59/- (Rs. 50 + 18% GST).
- All Other Categories: Rs. 1180/- (Rs. 1000 + 18% GST).
Key Candidate Requirements
- Indemnity Bond: Selected candidates must execute a bond to serve the bank for at least 03 years or pay Rs. 3,00,000.
- Credit History: Candidates must maintain a healthy credit history with a minimum CIBIL score of 681 or above at the time of joining.
