Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification (As on 01.08.2026)
- Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
Age Limit (As on 01.08.2026)
- Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 18 to 30 years (Born between 02.08.1996 and 01.08.2008).
- Stenographer Grade ‘D’: 18 to 27 years (Born between 02.08.1999 and 01.08.2008).
- Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and PwBD/Ex-Servicemen as per Govt. rules.
Application Fee
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹100/-
- Women/SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen: Exempted (No Fee)
- Payment Mode: Online (BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay).
Scheme of Examination
The examination consists of a Computer Based Examination (CBE) followed by a Skill Test in Stenography.

- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Question Type: Objective Type Multiple Choice (English & Hindi).
2. Skill Test in Stenography
Candidates shortlisted from the CBE will undergo a dictation test.
- Grade ‘C’: 100 words per minute (w.p.m.).
- Grade ‘D’: 80 words per minute (w.p.m.).
- Transcription: Must be done on a computer in English or Hindi.

- Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) if not already done.
- Login using your Registration Number and Password.
- Find “Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination-2026” under the “Live Exam” tab.
- Fill in the details, capture a live photograph as per instructions, and upload your signature (10-20 KB).+2
- Pay the fee (if applicable) and submit the form.
- Download and print the application for future reference.
