Eligibility Criteria
Residency Requirement: Candidates must be permanent residents of Assam. As domicile proof, applicants must upload a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purposes, or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.
Educational Qualifications:
- General Requirement: A full-time Diploma course in Engineering in the relevant discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, IT/Computer Science, Civil, or Instrumentation) from a Govt./Govt. Recognised/AICTE approved Polytechnic/Institution. The course duration must be a minimum of 3 years after H.S.L.C, or 2 years (Base) + 2 years (Diploma).
- Marks Required: A minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying diploma examination is required. For SC and ST candidates, the minimum requirement is 50% marks.
Age Limit (as of 01-01-2026):
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 38 years
- Age Relaxations:
- SC/ST: By 5 years (up to 43 years).
- OBC/MOBC: By 3 years (up to 41 years).
- PwBD: By 10 years.
- Ex-Servicemen (UR): Maximum age up to 50 years (further relaxable for reserved categories).
