The Indian Navy has published an official notification for the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) for the course commencing in January 2027. Online applications are invited from eligible unmarried male and female candidates to become Permanent Commissioned Officers in the Technical branches after undergoing a four-year B.Tech course at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala.

Note: Based on merit and performance during training at INA, 07 candidates from the Mechanical Engineering branch will be streamlined to B.Tech in Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding at NCW, Kochi.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification:
- Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or equivalent from any recognized Board.
- Must have secured at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
- Must have secured at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).
2. Mandatory Requirement:
- Candidates must have appeared for the JEE (Main) – 2026 exam for B.E./B.Tech.
- The call-up for the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview will be issued strictly on the basis of the JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2026 published by NTA.
Selection Process
The selection will be conducted through the following stages:
- Shortlisting: Naval Headquarters will fix the cut-off for shortlisting applications based on the JEE (Main) 2026 CRL Rank.
- SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo SSB interviews scheduled at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam from September 2026 onwards. Intimations will be sent via SMS and Email.
- Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a medical examination.
- Merit List: A common merit list will be prepared based on SSB marks and medical fitness.

Eligible and interested candidates must submit their applications through the official Indian Navy recruitment portal. Follow these steps to apply:
- Scroll down to the Important Links section below.
- Click on the Online Application Link.
- Register on the portal using a valid Email ID and Mobile Number (these must remain active throughout the process).
- Fill out the application form carefully with correct personal particulars as per your Matriculation/12th certificate.
- Upload clear scanned copies of original documents: 10th & 12th Marksheets/Certificates, Date of Birth Proof, and JEE (Main) 2026 Scorecard along with a recent passport-size colour photograph.
- Submit the form and take a printout of the application to carry to the SSB interview.
