In pursuance of the Assam Gazette Notification No. MER. 206054/786 dated 07-11- 2023 and No. MER. 488929/19 dated 26-07-2024, the Entrance Examination for selection of candidates for admission into B.Sc. Nursing/D. Pharm/B.Pharm/Allied & Healthcare (B.Sc. Medical Technology) Courses in both the Government and Private Institutes of Assam for the session 2026 is scheduled to be held on 07-06-2026.

For BSC Nursing : Minimum Educational Qualification a) Candidate with Science who have passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2), must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together. The candidate must have pass marks in English. b) Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having Science subjects and English only. c) English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Nursing).
Age limit
The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought. The maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years.
Exam Process
The Entrance Examination will be held in the centres at Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat, Barpeta, Tezpur, Diphu, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Kokrajhar, Nalbari, Dhubri, Shillong, Aizawl, Itanagar, Agartala, Imphal, Dimapur and Gangtok. Finalization of examination centres in the state capitals of other North -Eastern states will depend on the number of applicants applying for respective state capitals for appearing in the examination and receipt of consent from the respective State Authorities.
Selection Process
1. The Entrance Examination shall be held on 07-06-2026 (From 10AM to 12 Noon)
2. There shall be 1 (one) paper consisting of 100 objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics.
3. The candidates opting for B.Sc. Nursing and Allied & Healthcare courses must mandatorily choose English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
4. The candidates opting for Pharmacy courses must mandatorily choose English, Physics, Chemistry and one subject i.e. either Biology or Mathematics. No choice of subjects shall be changed once the online application is submitted.
5. Questions shall be of HS (10+2) Science standard.
6. Distribution of marks will be: English – 25 marks, Physics – 25 marks, Chemistry – 25 marks, Biology (Biology or Mathematics for Pharmacy courses) – 25 marks.
