The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the official notification for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP CSA-XVI) to recruit Customer Service Associates (Clerical Cadre) in participating Public Sector Banks for the vacancies of the financial year 2027-28.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (As on 01.08.2026)

  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 28 years
  • Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1998 and not later than 01.08.2006 (both dates inclusive).
  • Age Relaxations:
    • SC / ST: 5 years
    • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
    • PwBD: 10 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: Actual service period rendered in defense forces + 3 years (8 years for disabled SC/ST ex-servicemen, up to a max age of 50).

2. Educational Qualifications (As on 21.08.2026)

  • A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification.
  • Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory (Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/language, or having studied Computer/IT as a subject in High School/College/Institute).
  • Local Language Proficiency: Candidates applying for vacancies in a particular State/UT must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in the specified local language of that State/UT.

Application Fees

  • SC / ST / PwBD / ESM / DESM candidates: Rs. 175/- (inclusive of GST)
  • All other candidates: Rs. 850/- (inclusive of GST)

Selection Structure

The selection process involves a two-tier online examination system (Preliminary and Main) followed by a Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT).
